Hayashi was one of four children. She had two older sisters and one younger brother. Every day, the would venture out into the forest altogether to play games and collect fungus for funny brews back home.
One day, Yoshi decided to go that extra step. She walked away from the group, taking her brother, Gouji, with her.
Their sisters couldn't find them after a day's search, so they decided to go back home. Yoshi and Gouji survived in an abandoned fox den. Gouji got sick and tired of Yoshi and the den, so her left one night and attempted to find his way back home.
Yoshi wandered day and night, trying to find civilisation. Everyday she wouldn't find any.
Years later, she heard construction coming from a kilometre or two away from the forest.
